As SACRA chair, Nyeleti Bicky Mthombeni is passionate about the growth of the clinical research industry in South Africa. Her diverse clinical research experience, knowledge, and expertise gained through the occupancy of different positions have crafted an exceptional opportunity to apply clinical research strategic insight in multiple spheres of the industry.
She is fondly known in the industry for her passion for developing and growing clinical research in South Africa.
She distinguishes herself as a clinical trial strategist and a capacity-building enthusiast within South Africa, working diligently to ensure South Africa strives as a partner in medicine development.
Doing this through her role as an advocate for clinical trials, as an EXCO-member of SACRA, and through different mentorship programs associated with various sites. Remaining connected through other platforms to continuously generate and share new knowledge within the SA industry to ensure people remain informed of the latest changes in the clinical trial landscape.
She is committed to continuous education and continuously strives to improve, learn and acquire knowledge. She is qualified with a master's in Project Management and MSc Pharmacology and is currently enrolled and studying towards a Ph.D. in Pharmacology with the University of Stellenbosch.
