Senior Administrative Officer Vacancy

Pharma-Ethics Health Research Ethics Committee is looking to fill the position of a

Senior Administrative Officer.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 + years secretarial and administrative experience, preferably in research -or medical setting

  • The position requires a high level of attention to detail and organisation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Good organisational skills and administrative abilities

  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to maintain confidentiality are essential

  • Must have demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative in a dynamic environment

  • High-level knowledge of Microsoft applications, specifically Word, Teams, Excel, and Outlook are required


  • Organise effective and efficient tracking procedures for each received proposal.

  • Prepare and maintain application documents.

  • Organise regular committee meetings.

  • Prepare, distribute, and maintain meeting agendas and arrange meeting logistics.

  • Maintain and archive documentation.

  • Provide the necessary administrative support for committee-related activities to the Manager Director of the committee, the chairperson of the committee and committee members.

  • Perform a pre-review of each submission to ensure adherence to administrative requirements.

  • Properly acknowledge, distribute, and keep files of all correspondence.
